The origins of Rutherford and Company go back to the middle of the 18th century when the family acquired a tavern just off the High Street in Edinburgh. History tells us that.

'Kindly Mrs Rutherford's tavern in Craig's Close was favoured by the merchants who congregated at the Mercat Cross to discuss business'. Amongst her regulars was Robert Burns, with whom the family has some intriguing connections.

Many of Rutherford’s products can be decorated with the names and logos of businesses, clubs, schools and other organisations. Whether it is an empty decanter, a whisky filled miniature or a bone china mug, we can produce a unique and attractive ceramic promoting your message to your customers and friends! If you are interested, please give us a call!
